I’ve now accepted the fact that I will die in a pile of unread books.

Goal for the year: 64
No. of books read: 40
Even though I didn’t complete my reading goal (which included reading ten non-fiction books in total), I still feel as if I read a reasonable amount considering that it was my first year of university. This was also my first time keeping track of all the books I read in a single year. Several books, like those written by Brandon Sanderson, were over 700 pages long so they took a lot longer to read usual. I also diversified my reading extensively, moving away from Young Adult books a lot of the time and enjoying a few classics. I’m happy with the books that I’ve read this year, and I hope to continue in the same way next year.
Goal for 2015: 70 books in total, of which ten are non-fiction
What are your reading goals for 2015? Did you meet your 2014 reading goals? Let me know in the replies - or if you’ve read anything on my list that you’d like to say something about. Happy reading!
xx Munira
Update:
-Currently reading: Zoo City by Lauren Beukes, who is an awesome South African author making waves internationally.
-I will be posting my thoughts on Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen soon. Since it is a classic, I don’t feel like a formal review will really make sense for it, but I have a few things I want to say about the book.
-Hopefully, I’ll be reviewing the books I’ve read recently and adding them to my queue, to keep my blog going when I’m busy with university.
-I haven’t really received a response to my posts about university, but I am going to continue with them.
-I’m considering starting a booktube channel, once again, but I’m still not sure if I should go ahead with it.
- If there are any posts that anyone would like to see, drop them in my inbox or ask. Both are always open :)
We are of opinion that instead of letting books grow moldy behind an iron grating, far from the vulgar gaze, it is better to let them wear out by being read.
The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books.
